Pystyyhän tuon aina käynnistämään uudestaan, mutta saisikohan tuota miten helposti korjattua?

No ei aivan pimentynyt mutta meni "rikkinäiseksi" oli kolmeen kertaan päällekkäin ja kovin hankala käyttää. Toivoisin että saisimme jotain vinkkejä näihin näyttö ongelmiin. Ikävää aina käynnistää kone uudelleen kun käyttäjä vaihtuu, meilläkin on viisi käyttäjää koneella. Olen heille Ubuntua suositellut käytettäväksi, mutta taitavat pysyä winkkarissa.

Mikä näyttis, mitkä ajurit? Eli lspci ja /etc/X11/xorg.conf tänne.

tai jos teet kokonaan uuden conffauksen

Problem solved, mutta nyt näytöstä on käytössä kauniisti noin 2/3x2/3 .... Näkyy vihaavan mua ihan hyvin.

Pistätkö tänne liitteenä tiedoston /var/log/Xorg.0.log?

BIOS:ista pitäisi löytyä asetus "Shared Video Memory" tai "Video Memory" tms. Vaihda se asetus suurimpaan mahdolliseen.

915resolution paketin pitäisi auttaa tuon näytönohjaimen kanssa. En voi kokeilla, kun ei oe tuollaista näytönohjainta.

Asensin tuon 915resolutionin ja conffasin sitten xorgin oletusasetuksilla. Nyt toimii resoluutiot ihan nätisti. (Käynnistäessä tosin pienemmät, mutta se tuskin kiinnostaa.)
