Resoluutio ongelma ei vaan ratkea

Uusin ubuntu ei suostu käyttämään 1024 resoa. Alunperin ainoa vaihtoehto oli 640 ja kun jonkun ohjeen mukaan vaihdoin xorg.conf:iin ajuriksi "vesa" niin resoihin tuli kaksi vaihtoehtoa 640 ja 800. Ideoita?

Näytönohjein on integroitu Nvidia:n nForce, joka tunnistautuu seuraavasti: "NVIDIA Corporation NV18 [GeForce4 MX - nForce GPU]". Alunperin  tuossa driver kohdassa luki "nv". Ekaa päivää Ubuntu kehissä ja näyttää kyllä lupaavalta. Linuxista on kokemusta jonkin verran.

mietin että rajoittaako esim. tunnistettu näyttö ??

koska sinulla ei ole noita horiz ja vetical lukuja ollenkaan ....

Ei ole ei.. mitenkäs tuon korjaisi? Voinhan mä heittää siihen jotkut universaalit säädöt.. tietäs vaan mitkä on sopivat arvot ja miten ne tuohon esitetään.

Erikoistahan tuossa on sekin että virkistystaajuus on kiinteät vissiin 78 hertsiä joka on paneelille aika kova. Näytön natiivi on vissiin 60, eli siinäkin siis tuo pakotettu on väärä.

en tiijä käykö miten ubuntuun mkun mulla tässä ubuntukoneessa on tunnistettu nnäyttö....

ootas palaan asiaan kun käyn lkattoon tosta toisesta koneesta...

jees tässä ton celleronkoneen xorg.conf

siinä on integroitu näytönohjain ja joku vanha näyttö  jota ei tunnisteta ....

toivottavasti tästä olisi apua
