Using TeleFinland USB stick

Hello Everyone!

I have a quick question.

I have a TeleFinland SIM and use GNOME PPP to connect to the Internet. The dial string is *99#, HOWEVER,  I must attempt several connection attempts before connectivity is final established.

Just for kicks and giggles I thought to edit the dialing string to PPP*99# and see if it works??? It appears that it does and for the first time ever, I have been able to connect on the first try!!!!

Has anyone else had a similar experience?
