Windows 7 katosi GRUB:sta Lubuntun asennuksen myötä [RATKAISTU]

Asentelin tuossa toissa iltana Lubuntun 10.10 aiemman Ubuntu 10.04 tilalle Windows 7:n rinnalle. Nyt ongelmana on grubista kadonnut Windows, eli en saa buutattua sinne enää ollenkaan. Mielestäni se oli siellä vaihtoehtona, mutta katosi jossain vaiheessa (jouduin buuttailemaan kymmeniä kertoja, kun vaihtelin näyttisajuria ja säädin hajoilevan flashin kanssa, niin en niin kiinnittänyt huomiota mitä siinä oli vaihtoehtoja..äkkiä vaan buuttas että pääsi testaamaan   ) Kokeilin sillä jokapaikasta löytyvällä ohjeella, että lisätään sinne /boot/grub/menu.lst- filuun se title Windows ..jne rivi. Parhaimmillaankin olen saanut vain sen Windowsin sinne listaan, mutta en buutattua sinne.

fdisk -l antaa seuraavan listauksen:

eli tuo vähän yli 50 gigan osio on se, mihin windows on asennettuna, ja tuo isompi nfts-osio on varasto-osio, missä on musiikki, elokuvat yms. Osiot eivät siis ole kadonneet, vaan Linuxissa ne näkyvät kyllä. Ubuntu 10.04 oli rinnalla, eikä tätä ongelmaa ollut, eikä ole koskaan aiemminkaan ollut, vaikka olen asentanut Linuxeja Windowsin rinnalle jo vuosia. Mikä siis neuvoksi

Tein Windowsin repair discillä nuo fixbootin ja fixmbr:n, nyt buuttaa suoraan Windowsiin mitään kyselemättä, Miten saan sen linuxin nyt takasin käyttöön ja grubin asennettua?

Noilla ohjeilla sain taas buuttaamaan linuxiin, mutta Windowsia en ole onnistunut lisäämään tuonne Grubiin sitten edelleenkään

Muistaakseni Lubuntussa oli bugi, joka poistaa os-prober paketin asennuksen jälkeen. Kokeiles tätä päätteessä:

Tuo os-prober olikin jo asennettuna, eilen jonku ohjeen lukemiseen jälkeen sen asensin..ja tuon sudo os-proberin ajaminen tulostaa seuraavanlaisesti:

Kuten jo edellä sanoin, niin Lubuntun asennuksessa on bugi (jos siis oikein vaan muistan). Jos siis os-prober poistetaaan asennuksessa ja grub päivittyy esimerkiksi uuden kernelin myötä, niin ilman tuota os-proberia ei löydy muita järjestelmiä.

ei unohtunut, ja olen tuon updaten tehny joka kerta ku olen muutellut noita grub.cfg ja menu.lst tiedostoja. Ensin tuo os-prober näyttää sen windowsin, niinkuin tuossa edellisessä viestissä laitoin, mutta sitten ku teen tuon updaten, niin siinä näkyy vain ne linux-kernelit ja muistitesti:

Jotain hämärää tuossa sun setupissa, kun sulla on menu.lst tiedosto vaikka grub2 asennettu mbr:ään...

Ongelma ratkaistu, juurikin asentamalla grub2..sudo apt-get install grub2, samalla poistui grub, tämän perään ajoin os-prober ja update-grub2..löytyi windows
