Mistä tätä voi vaihtaa? Itselläni on 17" litteä näyttö, ja tämä on tarkoitettu 19" näyttöön..

.. ja pitäisi sen muistaakseni onnistua myös jostain sieltä valikoista löytyvän monitorin säätöjen kautta ettei tarvitse noita tiedostoja mennä käsin rukaamaan.. Joku screen tai screen resolution tai vastaavaa, Kubuntussa suoraan hiiren oikeaa korvaa rapsuttamalla työpöydän päällä..

Maksimina on vaan toi 1024x768. Oon kyllä tottunu ainakin astetta suurempaan resoluutioon. Oon yrittäny muokata ties mitä tiedostoja jne.., mutta ei, aina vaan pysyy samat vaihtoehdot.

Voisiko joku vääntää mulle ihan siitä perinteisestä rautalangasta, miten tuo ihan oikeasti vaihdetaan? Jos joku vain viitsii, niin olisin kyllä kiitollinen.

Nimittäin jos on, niin tarvitset "915resolution" nimisen ohjelman (http://www.geocities.com/stomljen/). On Ubuntun pakettivarastoissa (ehka multiverse tms).

sudo 915resolution -l joka siis näyttää grafiikkapiirin ja BIOSIN tietoja, mutta minulle tulostaa vaan tälläistä;

Jos HorizSync ja/tai VertRefresh arvot ovat väärin xorg.conffissa, haluttua resoluutiota ei välttämättä saa. Oikeat arvot löytyy näytön manuaalista tai valmistajan sivuilta...
