Värit näkyy väärin [RATKAISTU]

Muttajoo... Viikon aikana oon asennellu 6 kertaa tän Ubuntu Studio 9.04 ja 8.10 versiotakin kokeillu.

Ihan asennuksessakin ilmeni ongelmia, kun tekstiä näkyi ~300px siitä koko asennusjutusta, eli jouduin tekemään asennuksen 'puolisokkona', mutta luulisin että kaikki meni oikein.

Näytönohjain on (kai) joku AMD, en minä näistä oikein tiedä. Läppäri on Acer Aspire 3000, muutaman vuoden vanha.

Itse ongelmaan:
Vain hyvin harvat värit näkyvät, 'tukemattomat' niistä muuttuvat violetin sinisiksi, vihreän keltaisiksi tai sinipunaisiksi.
Ongelma ilmeni myös Xubuntulla ja normaalilla Ubuntullakin, mutta en muista kuinka sain parin kuukauden takaisen ongelman korjattua.
Toi Ubuntun oma ajurijuttu tarjoaa jotain wirelessijuttua, mutta en selostuksesta saa oikein selvää, mutta kokeiltu on: Kone heittää näytön mustaksi reboottauksen jälkeen.
Oon selaillu noi Synapticin jutut läpi, mutta ei tarttunut silmiin mitään oikeantyyppisiä sovelluksia.
Googleenkaan en oikeita hakusanoja keksi.

Olisi kans hyvä, jos jollain olisi aiemmin ollut sama ongelma, että suoraan kertoisi mitä pitäis tehä.

Hmmh, onkohan paketti "xserver-xorg-video-sis" asennettu?

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade && sudo apt-get install xserver-xorg-video-sis ja sitten reboottaa kone, ja katsotaan mitä tapahtuu. Voit kopioida komennon suoraan tuosta lootasta, se päivittää pakettilistat, ja koneen ja sitten hakee tuon SiS-näytönohjain ajurin, jonka kyllä luulisi olevan asennettu.

Eikö se xorg.conf muka mitään sisältänyt? Olithan varma, että laitoit nimenomaan /etc/X11/xorg.conf etkä x11.

Outoa, no lainasin jostain toisesta aiheesta perus xorg.confin tähän, jota hieman muokkailen ja sitten voitkin läiskäistä sen sinne ja boottia taas

Sulje nyt kaikki mahdolliset tekstieditorit, mitä sulta löytyy auki ja sen jälkeen lyöt tuon komennon. Pitäisi aueta ikkuna jossa kysytään salasanaasi, jotta saat oikeudet ja tämän jälkeen voit muokata.
