Näppäimistöasettelu sekaisin

Näppis meni 8.10-päivityksessä sekaisin. Laite on Acerin läppäri täysleveällä näppiksellä. Alt Gr antaa enteriä, nuolinäppäimet ei toimi, numeropadissa jakomerkki ei toimi, < ja > toimii normaalisti, samoin skandit.

Järjestelmä -> Asetukset -> Näppäimistö -> Asettelu tuntee vain Generic Keyboardin. Ennen täällä oli vaikka mitä vaihtoehtoja.

sieltä valitaan "layouts" ja asennetaan "Finland Classic".

Siellä ei ole paljoa valittavaa. Pudotusvalikossa on vain "Generic Keyboard" ja sen alla listassa "Finnish keymap" Jos painan "+"-nappulaa, voin valita maan, esimerkiksi  "Suomi" ja sille löytyy vain "Finnish keymap". "Muut valinnat" -kohdasta löytyy vain "Layout shift behavior".

Voisit kokeilla tuon xorg.conf -tiedoston automaattista paikaamista.
Sulje kaikki sovellukset ja kirjoita päätteessä komento:

Tulikos tuo vikasietotila nyt tuosta komennosta:

sudo dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg
Intrepid ei nyt tunnista hiirtä eikä näppistä:
"(II) Cannot locate a core pointer device.
(II) Cannot locate a core keyboard device."

Jos oli, niin uusi komento.

Voi olla, että puhdas Intrepid-asennus olisi parempi tehdä.
Sitä ennen tietenkin varmuuskopiointi tärkeästä datasta.

Juu, siitä se tuli. Pikagooglauksella näyttää olevan ongelma johon ei ole selvää ratkaisua. Tai ei ainakaan vielä ole tullut vastaan. Pitänee harkita tota uusiksi asentamista, edellisen päällehän tämä nykyinen on leivottu. Pitkästä aikaa tuli niin tehtyä ja heti alkoi ongelmat.

MIltä näyttää xorg.conf -tiedosto tuon konfiguraatio-komennon jälkeen?

Ota sisältö ulos komennolla (tuossa siis lukee X "yksitoista"):

Mutta tuollainen se on perusasetuksiltaan ja onnistuneen asennuksen jäljiltä.
Intrepidissä on kehittyneempi hardware-tunnistus kuin Hardyssa.

Ei vaan toimi, eikä ole minkäänlaista käsitystä mistä tätä ongelmaa voisi vielä avata.
