Yritin tänään asentaa erästä ohjelmaa, mutta kun yritin confirgoida sitä niin tulikin ilmoitus,että confirgointi epäonnistui.

gcc on varmaan se mitä kannattaa käyttää, vaikka intelin kääntäjä onkin aika hyvä. luultavasti haluat muitakin kääntämiseen liittyviä paketteja joten ehdotan ihan aluksi paketin build-essential asentamista. kyseinen paketti asentaa myös kääntäjän.

Olen kääntämässä gnomebaker-0.5.1 ja luultavasti tiedät mihin tarkoitukseen se on. Eli siis poltto ohjelma.

juu, tuttu softahan tuo on. onko se oikeasti niin paljon parempi kuin breezyn mukana tuleva 0.4.2, ettei sen suhteen malta odottaa dapperin valmistumista? (tosin dapperissakin näkyy olevan tällä hetkellä 0.5.0+cvs2005.01.10, mutta veikkaisin sen vielä päivittyvän).

niin ja tosiaan, jos käyttää debian unstablen sorsapakettia, niin riippuvuudet ja debian paketointi on paljon helpompaa hoitaa debianin/ubuntun omilla työkaluilla

Eli siis ei löydy dpkg:ta, joten imutin sen netistä ja se taas valittaa....
