Asensin sitten vihdoin ja viimein ja synaptic ei suostunut enää käynnistymään. Monen tuskaisen tunnin jälkeen päätin laittaa koko asennuksen jälleen uusiksi! Hip hip hurraa!! Tällä kertaa synaptic taas toimi ja sain asennettua tämän ohjelman jolla windowsin ajureita voi asentaa. Nyt kuitenkin kun laitan usb palikan paikallaan niin linux tunnistaa sen cd levyksi!!! Ja kun asentaa windowsin ajurin niin ilmoittaa että invalid driver. Langattomia verkkoja ei tietenkään näy kun sellaista palikkaa ei ole millä se ne tunnistaisi!!!

No,,, tekis mieli valittaa että tää linux on ihan P%¤#% mutta jätetään väliin ja toivotaan apua jotta saisin tämän toimimaan! Kiitoksia ja etukäteen YKSINKERTAISISTA vastauksista

Jäitä hattuun! Pitkäaikaisena käyttäjänä voin vakuuttaa, että ylläpito ei poistele kriittisiäkään kirjoituksia. Muutenkin täällä on yleensä kohtuu leppoisa ja huomaavainen henki ja toivon, että uudet kirjoittajat toimivat samassa hengessä. Bittiavaruuden musta aukko on niellaissut, jos jotain puuttuu, Mitä kysymykseen tulee, niin Buffalon tikku tunnistuu massamuistina, koska siinä on joku ajurien automaattinen asennusominaisuus. Muistan lukeneeni foorumilta aikaisemmin samanlaisesta. Yleensä Buffalon wlan-tikut toimivat, miksei tämäkin, kunhan saadaan tunnistumaan oikein. Muokkasin kahta pitkää viestiäsi code tagien väliin jotta ne näyttäisivät selvemmiltä. Ensimmäistä viestiäsi tuskin kukaan on muokannut. Tässäpä pieni päivitys!

Eli laitoin kaiken uusiksi ja päivitin ubuntu 8.04beta versioon. Enää ei tunnista cd asemaksi, mutta ei toimi vieläkään.
Olen tehnyt seuraavat toimenpiteet erään ohjeen mukaan.( http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=366644&highlight=WLI-U2-KG54 )
Eli blacklistannut rt 2570 ajurin
asentanut ndiswrapperin ja windowsin ajurit.
tuo kohta ohjeessa jossa tulosteen ndiswrapper -l pitäisi antaa tuloste

Kiitoksia hyvistä vihjeistä, mutta kaikki tuntuu olevan vähän ristiriidassa toisten kanssa. Joissakin pyritään käyttämään tuota rt2570 ajuria ja toisissa sanotaan että se disconnectaa koko ajan.  Ideoita?
