Wlan ongelma

Hei!
Olen tässä yrittänyt asentaa Broadcomin wlan korttia. Koneena toimii HP DV9555eo. Olen kokeillut Ubuntuforumsin ohjeita ja ubuntusuomen myös. WLAN kortti näkyy laitehallinnassa. Asensin myös Windows Wireless Driver ohjelman joka löytyi pakettivarastoista. Asensin tällä ohjelmalla Windowsin WLAN ajurit ja nyt Windows Wireless Driver ohjelma antaa sanoman Hardware Present: Yes. Kuitenkin komentorivi antaa tälläistä:

In previous Ubuntu releases my wifi card has been reported as Broadcom Corporation BCM4310 UART (rev 01). Gutsy reports it as Broadcom Corporation BCM4312 802.11a/b/g (rev 01) (notice the BCM chip number).
ndiswrapper

You will need to use ndiswrapper to run wireless connection. My wifi works only with ndiswrapper. Open driver (bcm43xx) does not work. Ironically on Debian Lenny (testing) it's the opposite - ndiswrapper doesn't work while bcm43xx does work. ~Azrael Note by gombosg: wireless work perfectly with open driver in Restricted Manager

Wireless works with open driver since 7.10. Firmware extraction is required. This can be automated with restricted manager. An existing network connection is required for downloading if the firmware blob is not on disk.
WPA (WiFi Protected Access)

      Works with open driver. Tested with eduroam academic network. It is necessary to load two kernel modules ieee80211_crypt_ccmp and ieee80211_crypt_tkip. Then login with NetworkManager or KNetworkManager.

      Works with open driver. Tested with La Fonera without loading anything before connecting.

      Works with windows driver through ndiswrapper out of the box.
