usb2 pci kortti toimimimaan oikealla nopeudella

Asensin vanhempaan koneeseen jossa on vain USB1 portteja uuden linuxin (feisty fawn). Jälkeenpäin lisäsin nurkissa lojuneen A-linkin USB2 PCI kortin, joka pitäisi nyt saada toimimaan oikealla nopeudellaan.
Sen verran olen tarkistanut että minulta puuttuu ehci hcd "osa",

lsmod |grep hci
uhch_hcd               25360  0
usbcore                 134280 4 usb_storage,libusual,uhci_hcd

Mistä moinen ehci hcd "osa" ladataan/ asennetaan? Synaptic-pakettienhallinta kun ei sellaista tunnistanut etsi komennolla.
Löytyykö puuttuva osa kenties koneestani jostain?
Meikäläinen kun on aivan untuvuikko linuxin suhteen.

Mistä tiedät ko 'osan' puuttuvan?

Kyseessä on 'kernelin lisäpalikoita' joita voi ladata käyttöön komennolla modprobe palikannimi, mutta se palikka pitää tosiaan olla jossain saatavilla.

Kiitos kovasti vihjeestä, en tiedä mistä tuli ajatus siitä että sitä lisäosaa ei olisi konellani... Ajoin modprobe komennon ja katsoin sen jälkeen uudestaan ls |grep komennolla,listaus oli muuttunut edellisestä;

Itselläni on PCI-USB2 -kortti mallia 'clas ohlson' ja kyllä se pelaa lennosta ihan oukei.

Nopeudesta en tarkkaan tiedä kun en osaa sitä mitata, muttä 699Mb:n siirtamiseen tikulta koneelle  kone ilmoittaa kestoksi n. 12min kun pitisi olla luokkaa n.2min.

Se toinen komento aiheutti niin paljon tekstiä ettei tähän mahtunut voin ositella sen jos tarvitaan...

Duoda duoda. Mitäs dmesg | tail sanoo. En nyt näe korttiasi tuossa lspci listassa(tai sitten minulla on killisilmät) toimiikos kortti nyt varmasti eli totta sinulla nyt se tikku on pystyssä siinä usbi kortin liittimessä. Eli pluggaa se siihen katto mitä kertoo dmesg | tail, tunnistaako järjestelmä sen mukaan tikun usb2 laitteeksi. Toinen mistä näet että onko olemassa väyliä joiden nopeus on usb2 luokkaa on lsusb -v tai jos et siitä saa selvää voit vaikka tehdä siitä filun ja lähettää liitteenä tälle foorumille:
lsusb -v > ~/lsusb.txt
Ja avaa foorumilta toi lisätoiminnot ja kirjoita kohtaan Liite: ~/lsusb.txt ja pistä esikatselua ja varmista että homma toimii(pistän nyt oman lsusb tällä tavoin liitettynä malliksi).

Edit: tai no ähh asenna usbview(sudo apt-get install usbview sijaitsee universessä) ja katto sillä millä nopeudella tikku toimii. Mut nyt häätyy mennä...

Eipä siellä ehciä näy. Mitäs näkyy dmesgissä kun lataat ehci_hcd:tä(sudo modprobe ehci-hcd ja dmesg | tail)?

Ajoin sudo modprobe ehci-hcd komennon ,onko väliä vaikka tikku oli sillion kiinni?

Ajoin sen kuitenkin uudestaan tikku irti, silloin ei enään kysytty salasanaa, ja vielä kerran roottina(root@vesa-desktop:~# modprobe ehci-hcd).
Miten se USBview käynnistetään? Ajoin sen sillä sudo komennolla  ja uudestaan Synaptic pakettihallitsijilla, mutta sen jälkeen en löytnyt sitä mistään edes places/etsi tiedostoja ei auttanut.
Nopeus kun ei ole vieläkään muuttunut.
Mitään asennus / virheilmoituksia ei tullut kysyi vain salasanaa.

Eikös sen ehci-hcd:n lataaminen näy ollenkaan dmesg:sissä, onko kortti varmasti usb2.0, linuxissa on vain yksi ajuri usb2.0:lle ja se on toi ehci-hcd. Niin ja se usbview asennetaan joko synapticista tai päätteellä komennolla sudo apt-get install usbview. Ja se käynnistetään kirjoittamalla päätteeseen usbview. Eli pitäisi aueta tämmöinen ikkuna:

Nyt toimii Se PCI USB2 kortti oikealla nopeudella .
Poistin tänään konetta käynnistaessäni BIOS:sta kaiken mikä viittaa USB:hen. Kone käyntiin ja testaamaan... Niinhän se rupesi tieto siirtymään vauhdilla, 699,7 MB siirtämiseen meni reilu muutti nopeammin kuin XP:ssä!!! Sain sen usbviewinkin käynnistymään joka vahvisti sen minkä jo tiesinkin.
Nyt en vain tiedä kummasta se johtuu koneen uudelleen käynnistämisestä, vaiko siitä BIOS asetusten muutoksesta? Ilmeisesti LINUX ei välitä niin paljoa BIOS:sta koska ykkösnopeudella toimivat emon USB portit toimivat vielä.

Piti viime kerralla lisätä myöskin koneen merkki ja malli kun satuin löytämään sen BIOSin tiedoista: Compaq Evo 300v.
Niin ja löysin sen lisätoiminnon jolla saa lähetettyä liitetiedostoja, se oli liian helpossa paikassa

Huomasinpa tuon usbview ohjelman sijaitsevan Applications->Järtestelmätyökalut valikossa, ja sitäpä mielenkiinnolla tarkastelemaan ja yllätys oli kova kun sieltä ei löytynytkään mitään usb2:een viittavaa.  Ajoin sen komennon ja käynnistin koneen uudestaan ja usb2 nopeus oli palannut. Pitääko lähteä Clas Ohlsonille ostoksille, vai voiko esim. joku järjestelmänpäivitys sotkea kirjanpidon tai sen mikä ikinä pitää kirjaa näistä PCI laitteista?
