Nyt toimii Nebula DVB-T ilman noita modprobauksia. Vahingossa:

Asensin DVB-S2-korttini vuoksi uuden liplianin-ajurisetin, ja samassa rytäkässä myös Nebula alkoi pelittämään:

make
sudo make install
sudo reboot

Ihan noin suoraviivaisesti ei kääntö kylläkään sujunut Karmic:issa (Jauntyssa sujui aikoinaan).
Oli ensin konffattava menuconfig:
sudo make menuconfig
Ja siitä oli poistettava Firedtv-moduli.
-> Multimedia Support -> DVB/ATSC Adapter -> Firedtv/Floppydtv
Exit,  Tallennus, ja sitten vasta ylläsanottu liplianin make

there were a lot of changes in the dvb system in 2.6.32, so I compiled a
kernel from the rc8 sources and, hay presto, the nebula card works fine!

No jos se tuolla uudella 2.6.22 ytimellä pelaa niin pitäs sen pelata sillä liplianin-s2, sillä se liplianin-s2 on vain hitusen uudempaa koodia.

No sitä tarkoitin.

Tarkoitan kokonaisuudessaan sitä että jos 2.6.32 pelaa niin täytyy myös hyvin suurella todennäköisyydellä liplianin-s2 ja v4l-dvb -masterinkin pelata. v4l-dvb -master kun on se paikka jossa kehitys tapahtuu, sieltä ne koodit siirretään aina 3kk välein uuteen ytimeen. Igor Liplianin päivittää oman ajurinsa hitusen tiuhempaan, ehkä noin parin viikon välein v4l-dvb -masterista.

Raportti Nebula bug foorumilla
sanoo, että bash scripti hakemistossa /root/bin + tänne viittaava lisärivi hakemistossa /etc/rc.local starttaa Nebulan kortin aina käynnistyksessä.
Pahaksi onneksi tämä ei taida pelittää Ubuntussa (/root/bin). Vaiko? Miten vastaava temppu pitäisi tehdä Ubuntussa?

I was still suffering from the modprobe problem mentioned in the bug report refered to above. This means that to make things work I had to unload the drivers for the DVB-T cards, and then reload them. So here's the script I wrote to do that, which I wrote as /root/bin/fix_myth_drivers:

/usr/sbin/service mythtv-backend stop
/sbin/modprobe -vr dvb_bt8xx
/bin/sleep 10
/sbin/modprobe -v dvb_bt8xx
/usr/sbin/service mythtv-backend start
But of course, I wanted the drivers fixed every time the machine reboots. So, I added the following line to the file /etc/rc.local so that my script would execute at every boot.
/root/bin/fix_myth_driver
With all of this in place, just reboot. Then use the Watch TV option on your mythbox to check that your DVB-T cards are now working. You can also check by running dmesg and checking whether it is overrun by mt352 errors like those described at the beginning of this posting.
