Xubuntu 12.04:llä ja Ubuntu 10.04:llä näin käynyt. Kone siis pysähtyy totaalisesti eikä edes reisub:lla käynnisty uudelleen. Tuollaista ilmoitusta tulee nyt 12.04:llä ennen kaatumista:

Edit: ja näin käy vaikka kovalevyn DMA on 33:sella.

Rautavikaa kenties? Pitää varmaankin koittaa toisella kaapelilla ja sen jälkeen toisessa koneessa kovalevyä jos ei auta ensimmäinen konsti.

Nyt kovalevy siirretty ja tässä mitä tein:

2. Käynnistin koneen uudestaan ja ei kysynyt levyn korjauksesta, tuli vain "Tarkistetaan levyjä" teksti. Pakettien hallinta kaatui kuten vaiheessa 1. Tuli ehkä samoja virheitä, kun näitä lokeja nyt jälkeenpäin katsoo.

3. Käynnistin grubista "vikasietotilaan" ja sieltä levyasemien tarkistus ja ei virheitä. Sitten rikkinäisten pakettien korjaus ja meni läpi. Alkuperäisessä koneessa tämä meni heti alussa jumiin. Tämän jälkeen alkoi pakettien hallinta toimia ja eikä ole ilmoitellut noita virheitä.

Kovalevyn smart-tiedot sanoo kaksi viallista sektoria, ei muuta vikaa. Kellään mitään ideoita tai mitä olisi hyvä testata seuraavaksi?

Edit 5.6.2013: Kun pisti kovalevyn takaisin alkuperäiseen emolevyyn niin heti kaatusi kun käynnisti pakettienhallinnan. Varmaankin emolevyssä jotain vikaa...

Edit 7.6.2013: Nyt kun tutkaili lisää ja vaihtoi kovalevyn ja johdon, niin näyttäisi toimivan... Ratkaistu taitaa siis olla.
