Grub ongelma XP asennuksen jälkeen, RATKAISTU,ASENSIN UUDELLEEN!

Terve, täällä tosi tumpelo ubuntun/Win Xp käyttäjä.  Olen koittaanut hakea ohjetta ongelmaani, joka syntyi kun poistin koneelta XP:n ja asensin sen sitten uudelleen.

Nyt en löydä grub valikkoa (tai löytyy se, jos käynnistysvaiheessa, F8 valinnalla, valitsee toisen levyn ja siinä on grub, joka ei käynnistä mitään. antaa virhekoodia error17: cannot mount selected partition...)

Ilman  valintaa kone käynnistyy suoraan Win XP:n.

Koneella on Win XP omalla kovalevyllään /dev/sda  ja Linux/ubuntu  toisella kiintolevyllä,  /dev/sdb.

Saan Live Cd levyllä koneen käyntiin ja löydän tämän Ubuntu levyn, mutten osaa ilmeisesti mountata sitä.

Yritin mennä päätteen kautta sudo su komennolla... en kuitenkaan pääse puusta pitkään, kun on nuo perukomennot hukassa.

Onko ainut vaihtoehto asentaa ubuntu uudestaan?

Kiitos kovasti, mutten pääse puusta pitkään, vaikka löydän kuinka paljon juttuja. Olen vain  niin onnettoman ulkona näistä jutuista...

Yritin päätteen kautta ja pääsinkin niin pitkälle, että mulla on koneeni listaus Fdisk:llä

ja samoin kävin avaamassa geditillä menu.lst listan, mutten sitä pysty muokkaamaan??

edelliset varmaan kertoo teille asiantuntijat, mikä mun koneessa on vialla? Ymmärrän kyllä, että mun pitäis itte paneutua linuxin sielunelämään ja kaikenlaiseen virittelyyn, mutten oikein osaa.

Omasta mielestäni sieltä pitäisi poistaa seuraavat rivit
