Sekoitin grubin... Miten saan Ubuntun takaisin?

Asensin kokeilumielessa Fedora Core 3:sen Ubuntun rinnalle. Fedoran asennus ei löytänyt Ubuntua, joten määritin se itse, eli että löytyy hda1:ltä. No, kun käynnistän koneen, ja valitsen grubista Ubuntun, niin tulee seuraavaa:

error 13: invalid or unsupported executable format

Onneksi Fedora toimii, mutta Ubuntukin pitäisi saada herätettyä henkiin. Mitähän olen tehnyt asennuksessa sitten väärin. Käytin automaattista osiointiakin, tosin Fedora olisi halunnut koko (osioimattoman) loppulevyn käyttöönsä, jota yritin pienentää. Mitenkähän näen Fedorassa miten kiintolevy on jaettu. Jos vielä onnistuin sössimään niin, että Fedora haukkasi sen 130gigaa, mikä levyllä oli vapaana.

Lueskeleppa sieltä: /boot/grub/menu.lst tiedostosta miten fedora on laitettu sinne ja koita laittaa samaan tapaan.
Se kuitenkin pitäisi näyttää jotakuinkin tältä:

root (hd0,0)
kernel /vmlinuz root=/dev/hda2
initrd /initrd.img

missä tuo hd0,0 on ubuntu:n boot osio ja hda2 root ( / ) osio. Jos ovat samalla osiolla (siis / ja /boot ) niin se näyttääpi varmaakin tältä:

root (hd0,0)
kernel /boot/vmlinuz root=/dev/hda1
initrd /boot/initrd.img

Eihän tuo onnistunut... Olisi pitänyt ottaa ylös, mitä Ubuntun asennuttua grubissa luki. Vai juuri tuolleenko siellä lukee, miten kerroit? Nyt se sanoo, ettei tiedostoa löydy. Mitäköhän grubissa alunalkaen lukee, jos antaa asennuksen tehdä osioinnin jne. tyhjälle kovalevylle?

Toivottavasti tästä on jotain apua ! /boot/grub/menu.lst :ssa on seuraava litania -> asensin ensin XP:n sitten Red Hat seiskan [erilliselle 40 Gigan levylle] ja lopuksi Ubuntun samalle levylle, missä oli jo XP ...
