Nostetaas tätä jälleen kerran

Elikkäs, toimiiko jollain HP:laisella ATIn kanssa HDMI?

Mä en saa 23" näyttöäni (enkä saanu paria HDMI-töllöäkään) näyttämään oikein HDMI-liitännällä. Tekstit on mössöä, esim conkyn tekstit näyttää just about tosi kehnolta. Sit omituinen, ihan kuin kuvat ja videon katselu näyttäis ok:lta. Sit kun tyrkkää liitännän VGA:lla niin välittömästi näyttää hyvältä, aikuisten oikeasti.

Mulla siis läppärissä ATI Radeon HD 3450.

Mikä reso käytössä, koska se vaikuttaa aika paljon kuvan terävyyteen (Järjestelmä > Asetukset > Näytön tarkkuus)?

Tää mjonitor on Samsung SyncMaster 2333HD ja ohjekirja antaa natiiviresoks 1920x1080, 16:9-kuvasuhteella, display preferenssissä on juuri samat lukemat. 1680x1050 ei näytä niin karmealta, mut se on yhtä vääristynyt kuin oma arvomaailma. IRCissä kyselin taannoin asiaa, mut ainut johtolanka minkä sain on että ATI ,vai läppärikö anyway, skaalaa väärin tota HDMI:tä? Onko sinne päinkään diagnoosi? Jos kohdallaan niin mites hoitoennuste?

Ei ole kokemusta ATI:sta, mutta kannattaa kokeilla seuraavaa:

Siis pitää luoda oma Modeline ja kokeilla miten HDMI siihen suhtautuu.

Tänks. Selasin ton läpi ja kyllähän tuolla popula on onnistunut nvidialla, hieman hirvittää lähteä ATIlle noita tekemään, voip aika varmasti mennä sekaisin pakka. Ei oo ihan niin varmuutta ja selkoa että mitä tossa tehdään.

Kannattaa ehdottomasti kokeilla. Mitään ei häviä. ATI toimii periaatteessa ihan samoin. Telkkari ilmoittaa sitten jos ei onnistu. Itse sain DVI=>HDMI liitoksen toimimaan 32" LCD:hen. Tosin pientä overscannia jäi mut ei haittaa.
Lähinnä noista ohjeista kannattaa hakea oikeat Modelinet. Itse en pysty säätämään kuin resoluutiota (kuvan paikkaa ei voi säätää).
Mutta olen tyytyväinen 1920x1080i käyttäjä.

EDIT: Eikäkä mulla oli tossa myös VGA-liitin kiinni, mut HDMI oli valittu näytöstä inputiks

Saat paremmat tiedot tuon Nvidian ohjeen mukaan. Eli käynnistetään X verbose tilassa ja lokitetaan tulos. Siitä saa napattua Modelinen suoraan.
Ei ole kokemusta juuri xrandr käytöstä koska ei oikein tuntunut pelittävän mun kokoonpanossa.
