yle nettiradio problem

Hei,
sorry to write in english on the finnish forum, but I think someone here can help me better than in other places. And my finnish is not enough good to ask properly my question.
I'm an french/italian ubuntu user, I lived in Finland for 4 years, and I'd like to improve my finnish continuing to listen Yle radio on the net. Thanks to this forum I found some help in order to listen and watch Yle Areena through the VLC mozilla plugin (even with a error message).
Unfortunately I couldn't find a solution in order to listen the net radio from Yle (and probably people here don't need to listen to it via the net).
One of the links I'm referring is that one:
http://areena.yle.fi/mediasoitin/radio1
I tried with the mplayer plugin and I get it hanged "connecting to the server xxx.xxx.xxx.etc"; pasting the link to VLC I get error messages.
I'm using Ubuntu 8.04
Any help really appreciated.

You coud try this (its for video in Yle Areena, but after I followed these instructions, I got the radio working also):

Here is a short translation:
1. Install package ubuntu-restricted-extras
2. make sure that package totem-mozilla is installed, if not install it
3. make sure that package totem-gstreamer is installed, if not install it
4. remove packages mozilla-mplayer and totem-xine

Hi, thanks a lot,
I followed the instructions and unfortunately totem hangs and I have to kill it.
However, I read on some netradio sites that because of some copyright issues in Finland, some netradios are not working outside Finland. I'm wondering if this is the case also with Yle. So far I could watch yle areena videos only with VLC (after some error messages it started to work).
It seems that I have to stick with Radio Helsinki and Basso Radio (and check those that are working).
