Mitä tarkoittaa ei mihinkään? Ei edes gatewayhin? Tai DHCP-palvelimelle(vai onko se sama kuin gateway)?

Ei edes gatewayhin (host unreachable). DHCP ja gateway ovat samat. Pingatessa esim. www.google.com tulloo unknown host.

Mielenkiintoista, että www-palvelin on kuitenkin pystyssä.

Tuskastumiseen asti googlattuani ja räpellettyäni päätin uskaltautua kysymään täältä neuvoa. Asensin vanhahkoon koneeseen Breezy Badgerin tarkoituksenani laittaa pystyyn mm. Apache2-palvelin.

Kaikki toimi hienosti, kunnes päätin yöksi sammuttaa vempaimen. Käynnistettyäni tänään ei verkkoyhteys enää toiminut (kyllä, piuhat ovat kiinni).

Ifconfigilla saan kyllä koneelle IP:n (sekä DHCP:llä että staattisena) ja muutenkin kaikki näyttää normaalilta.

/etc/resolv.conf sisältää toiset nimipalvelinosoitteet kuin mitä windowsin ipconfig antaa. Tosin yhteys ei näyttänyt toimivan, vaikka niitä muuttaisinkin.

dhclient eth0 toimii.

pingi ei toimi mihinkään.

Minulla ei ole enää hajuakaan, mitä tekisin.
