Elikkäs tuli eilen päivitettyä Ubuntun päivitysten hallinnalla Edgystä Feistyyn.

Tästä seurasi ongelmia näytöohjaimen / näyttöjen kanssa. Elikkä Edgyssä toimi Nvidian Twinview moitteettomasti (Näytönohjaimena GeForce 6200 TC) kahden lcd-näytön Samsung 22" (DVI) wide & Sony 17 (VGA)"  välillä. Ongelmana on ettei x suostu tunnistamaan kuin Samsungin näytön joka on DVI-piuhalla kiinni sekä 3d-kiihdytys ei toimi, koska parametrilla Driver "nvidia" x suostu käynnistymään ollenkaan. Vaatiiko twinview toimiakseen tuon nvidia parametrin vai vaiko se toimia ilman sitä?

Tällä hetkellä jos käynnistää koneen molemmat näytöt kiinni, Sonyyn jää musta kuva ja Samsung jää vilkkumaan vierelle. Samsung käynnistyy yksin kyllä kiltisti, mutta Sony ei edes yksinään (pelkkä mustakuva jää ruudulle, mutta loginscreenin ääni kyllä kuuluu). Nvidia-glx ajurit on asennettu paketinhallinnalla.

Tässä tämän hetkinen xorg.conf, jonne on muutettu kohtaan Driver "nv", koska parametrilla nvidia x-ympäristö ei suostu  käynnistymään, mikä on mielestäni hyvin outoa. Samainen toimi conffi siis toimi aikasemmin Edgyssä nvidian-glx ajureilla (Driver "nvidia" tietysti päällä).:

Hieman vielä taustatietoa:

Edes uusin kernelini 2.6.20-15-386 ei suostunut käynnistymään päivityksen jälkeen, ennen kuin asensin sen uudestaan paketinhallinnalla.

Graafisessa työympäristössä käynnistäessä nvidia-settings toiminnon, ei sieltä löydy kuin muutama naurettava asetus, kun ennen sieltä pääsi muuttamaan vaikka mikä resoluutioita ja näyttöjen määrityksiä, twinview etc.

Apu oli siis tarpeen

kyllä tuo kaukosäädin ja sarjaporttiin menevä vastaanotin pelaan lircin kanssa,itse ohjailen vdr tuolla.mitäs laitetta yritän sillä ohjailla?

Et viittis laittaa jonkinlaisia ohjeita, miten asensit, kun itellä kans ongelmia saada tuota kaukosäädintä pelittämään...

Kokeile piruuttas asentaa ubuntu-desktop tai jos se varmasti on asenettuna niin uudelleenasennusta (reinstall) jos auttais?

Ei onnistu tuo ubuntu-desktopin reinstalli. Ettii ihan nätisti riippuuvuudet, mutta heittää lopuks vaan errorin:

Ja eikä tuo sen antama "apt-get -f install"-komentokaan johda mihinkään muuhun kuin erroriin, mikä on jo pastettu tuonne ylemmäs. Mitäs sitä kehittäis? Anyone?

No kokeile sitä sudo apt-get -f install , mitä se ehdottaa. saattaa vaikka auttaa.

Tarkistin ton sources.listin ja varmistin että on ihan pelkät viralliset dapper lähteet.

ps -A komento ei löytänyt muita paketinhallintaohjelmia.

ja tuo jälkimmäinen reinstallikaan ei oikeen toimi, kun tyssää kohtaan: "sudo apt-get install --reinstall debconf"- ja tollasta erroria tulee

Ubuntu tietokoneissa / Apt-get rikki

Dapper drake alla ja kernelinä 2.6.15-27-386

En käyttänyt viikkoon tietokonettani ja tänään avatessani koneen huomasin, ettei ubuntu suostu asentamaan päivityksiä. Ongelmat taitavat johtua yli viikko sitten tehdyistä sähellyksistä, muttei kyllä nyt heti tuu mieleen, mitä sillon tuli säädettyä. Tänään siis kun koitin sudo apt-get dist-upgrade asennus jäi kesken.

Elikkä nyt kun koittaa pistää sudo apt-get install -f
tapahtuu seuraavaa:

Alla oleva urlikaan ei auttanut, joten nyt on tuo dpgk-status:kin rikottu
