Nyt on turvauduttava tämän foorumin apuun, kun en löydä apua vaikka kuinka luen internettiä tai hakkaan päätä seinään.

Elikkäs koneessa oli pohjalla windows 7. Asentelin sitten Ubuntun rinnalle. Häikkää oli Grubin kanssa, mutta lopun kaiken Grub toimii ja Ubuntu käynnistyy sillä hyvin ja kehrää kuin kissa. Grubissa on rivit Windows 7:lle, mutta se ei käynnisty (jää tyhjään ruutuun) ja Grubin windows 7 korjaus riviltä korjaus lähtee kyllä päälle, mutta se mitään korjaa vaan jää jumittaan (HP:n korjausohjelma).

Alla Ubuntulla tekemäni Boot info scriptin listaus koneeni sielunelämästä. Olen varsin aloittelija, joten siksi kysyn, että eikö mun windows olekin sda2:lla, mutta tuon listauksen mukaan grub lähtee käynnistämään Windowsia sda1:ltä. MitämiksiHäh! Kertokaa onko grubissa nyt jotain vikaa, vai etsiikö grub sittenkin windowsia oikeasta paikasta, mutta windows 7 on itsessään vaan ihan sökönä. En tiedä mitä tehdä! Kummaltahan sen Windowsin pitäisi käynnistyä sda1:ltä vai sda2:lta?

Ensin mainitulle (sda1) olet jotenkin onnistunut asentamaan ylimääräisen grubin, joten se pitäisi ylikirjoittaa Windowsin omalla. Tämän kyllä pitäisi onnistua sieltä korjaustyökalusta, jostain syystä se vain tahtoo kestää aika kauan (käynnistyskin vie pitkään ja saattaa jäädä mustaan ruutuun). Tosin tämä kokemus on Asuksen Vista läppäristä.
Ilmeisesti seuraavan ohjeen pitäisi olla pätevä (en voi testata):

Windows Vistan tai 7:n käynnistä kone asennuslevyltä, valitse näppäimmistösi ja kielesi ja klikkaa Next. Nyt valise Repair your computer. Valitse käyttöjärjestelmä, jonka haluat korjata. Valitse komentokehote (command prompt) ja komenna:

Bootrec.exe /FixBoot

Asennuslevyn sijaan sen palautusosion pitäisi käydä tähän tarkoitukseen.

Sen sijaan sda2:lla on kyllä käynnistyslohko Windowsin käynnistylataajalla, mutta siellä ei näytä olevan noita tarvittavia tiedostoja ja ilmeisesti sen takia se ei myöskään näy Grubin listassa.

Itse käytän dual boottina Vistaa ja Ubuntua. Jos käynnistän Vistan, niin Grubissa pitää valita Vista recovery mode. Sama pätee toisin päin. Täältä foorumilta olen lukenut, että Grubilla on vikana tai ominaisuutena näyttää aloitusvalikko väärin. Tuosta ei kannata olla huolissaan.

Hei!

Sain Tomin ohjeen mukaisesti (cp = Bootrec.exe /FixBoot) käynnistyksen fiksattua kuntoon! Jesh! Tomin vastaus tuli puolessa tunnissa, sen sijaan mulla meni puol toista kuukautta tuon lyhyen komennon syöttämiseen koneeseen, sillä win 7:n korjauslevy oli hukassa. Mutta kiitos siis avusta! Nyt pääsee taas tuunaamaan vehjettä, voisin testata ainakin vielä yhden Linuxin asentamista nykyisten käyttisten rinnalle - tuun sit tänne foorumille taas nyyhkyttään kohta, kun saan grubin mäsäks...
