Nyt meni käsi päähän. Olen opiskellut otsikon mukaisen digitikun kanssa, mutta en saa toimimaan enkä kuvaa ME-TV:lle.

Linux.fi -sivuilta tuon kortin luvataan toimivan kokeellisilla ajureilla, mutta tieto on jo varmasti vanhentunutta. http://kuparinen.org/martti/comp/ubuntu/en/terratec.html
Testattu: Ubuntu 7.04 ja 7.10. 8.04 versiossa toimii täydellisesti kun asentaa ubuntu-restricted-extras paketin ja käyttää kaffeine soitinta.
Kaffeine on jo edistynyt versioon 1.xxx, mutta jotkut moittivat sitä käyttökelvottomaksi? Ei omakohtaisia kokemuksia.
Aiemmin käytin nimenomaan Kaffeinea (tuote vanhempaa versiota) oman digi-tikkuni kanssa, vaikka jokin mplayer olisi kevyempi ja monessa mielessä hyvä valinta. En ole viimeaikoina testaillut digi-tikkuani.

v4l-dvb-experimental näyttäisi olevan haihtunut ilmaan. En löydä sitä, enkä osaa oikein sanoa onko se edes enään relevantti, Ubuntu 9.04 on varustettu v4l2:lla. Mitä se ikinä nyt sitten tarkoittaakin.

Oliskos kellään käsitystä onko tuossa otsikon mukaisessa tikussa mahdollisesti 3028L piiri vai ilman tuota L:ää. L käsittääkseni on vähä virtanen versio, joten saattaisi olla USB tikussa?? Toisaalta ihmettelen vielä onko firmwarella väliä 64 bittisyydestä vai ei. lataamassani firmis paketista löytyy jotain härdelliä myös hakemistossa 64.

Kun kasailin firmistä edellisen postin ohjeiden mukaan, niin extractointi -skripti antoi jotain ilmoitusta tarkastussumman tai jonkin muun sellaisen virheellisyydestä. En innostukseltani ehtinyt iokein sisäistään asiaa. Kuitenkin dmesg ilmoittelee myös jostain version epäselvyydetä.

Tämä ei nyt ratkennut omin voimin. Osaaminen loppui ja ahdistus tuli tilalle. Luovuin koko otsikossa mainitusta tikusta.

Ratkaisin homman ostamalla Fuj:tech DTV PRO halpatikun, jonka sain sitten pelittään

http://wiki.ubuntu.cz/MSI%20DigiVox%20mini%20II%20V3.0%20%C4%8Dern%C3%A1 ohjeiden mukaan. Ohjeet oli kyllä tsekin kielellä, mutta aikani tavattuani oivalsin mitä tuulee tehdä ja homma lähti pelittään.

Ensiyrittämällä ei ajuri kääntynyt lainkaan mutta kun lisäsin ohjeessa mainittuun ./v4l/.config tiedostoon rivit
CONFIG_DVB_FIREDTV=m
CONFIG_DVB_FIREDTV=n
niin johan kääntyi ja installoinnin jälkeen sain kuvan näkymään ME-TV:ssä.

Nyt sitten koitan opiskella tikun ominaisuuksia ja tavoitteena on pystytellä MythTV + XBMC kokoonpano harrastemielessä. Kyllä tässä haastetta riittää, mutta pikku hiljaa edetään.
