Samsung SyncMaster 957p 19" Refresh ratet

No niin. Tälläistä ongelmaa tällä kertaa pukkaa. Olen koettanut saada näyttööni (kuten otsikossa lukee, Samsung SyncMaster 957p, 19") refresh rateja kohdalleen, mutta en saa niitä millään ilveellä kohdalleen. 60Hz käy silmiin, vaikka näytön pitäisi saada paljon paremmatkin ulos.

Miten saisin 85Hz ulos 1280x1024 resoluutiolla, kun käsittääkseni näyttöni pitäisi moiseen pystyä? Millainen rivi pitäisi tiedostoon /etc/X11/xorg.conf lisätä, kenelläkään mitään harmainta hajua?

Itselläni on SyncMaster 950p käytössä ja tuo 1280x1024 85Hz toimii ainakin tässä mallissa vallan hyvin.

Eli noita refresh rate lukuja ei ole ollenkaan vaan ne haetaan suoraan näytöltä.
Tällä näytöllä tosiaan 85Hz toimii vallan mainiosti näin.

Eipä tunnu auttavan kummatkaan. Välillä meni Failsafe moodiin, koetin siihen sitten vain täydentää tuon "Monitor" kohdan kohdat, mutta xrandr näyttää tälläiset vaihtoehdot ainoastaan:

Eli kuten näkyy, Failsafe moodista koetettu muokata. Ei auta. Ei myöskään tuo Moodyn heittämä vinkki, ei tunnu lukevan oikein miulla refresh rateja :/

EDIT: Teinpa niin, etta siirsin koko xorg.confin pois ja kaynnistin X:n. Kaynnistyi siitakin huolimatta, vaikka Xorg.conf -tiedostoa ei ollut eika ole vielakaan. Nyt sain tasmalleen oikeat resoluutiot ja virkistystaajuudet valittua xrandr:lla kuten pitaakin. Ainoa ongelma on toki etta nyt on jenkkinappis jne. Mika tuossa xorgissani oikein mattaa?

EDIT 2: Ongelma korjaantui ottamalla "nvidia" ajuri kokonaan huits pois veks ja ottamalla käyttöön "nv" ajuri. Näin se homma toimii...
