Toivottavasti tuli oikealle alueelle
Elikkäs, Wlan ei toimi acerin 5042WLMI kannettavassa. Foorumeita olen selaillut kyllä suomenkielisiä sekä englannin kielisiä. Monia ohjeita olen myös kokeillut (ndiswrapper, cutteri) mutta, millään en ole saanut eloa korttiini. Nyt löysin acer_acpi nimisen ohjelman joka yhdistettynä ndiswrapperiin pitäisi saada langatonverkko toimimaan acerissani. Kaikki menee hyvin acer_acpi:n asennuksessa siihen asti kunnes aloiten sen kääntämisen. kääntäjä paketin olen hakenut ja sen asennus onnistui ilman mitään virheilmoituksia.
Nyt kysyisinkin että osaatteko kertoa mikä menee käännöksessä vikaan kun näytöllä tulee seuraava litania virheitä:

Joops elikkä sain käännettyä acer_acpi ohjelman. Ongelmana oli että linux ja kernel header tiedostot puuttuivat. Tämän jälkeen lähti korttikin pelaamaan oikein.

Siis eihän tämä ole wlan ajureita nähnytkään, ja ehkä hieman väärällä alueellakin. Siis asensit acerin rajapinnan jotta saat etunapin toimimaan?

taitaa tuo WLAN vaatia toimiakseen juuri tuon acer_acpi modulin lataamisen. ei toimi muuten ei.. lisäetuna tietenkin emailedin ja tuon wlan-nappulan toimivuus kun _vähän_ kikkailee ja säätää. Ei mahdoton urakka mutta ompahan temppuilua. Tällä hetkellä muuten ok mutta WLANin käynnistyksessä ei itse osaa yhdistää WEP-suojattuun verkkoon ja kun ei yhdistä vilkuttaa tuota WLAN-valoa ja kytkee joka kerta WLANin uudelleen päälle ->cycli joka pistää jumittamaan muut pikanapit ja näppäimistön. pientä debuggausta pitäisi tehdä..

Vähän vanha ketju mutta laitan kuitenkin jos jollekki vaikka olis apua.

Acer-acpi löytyy gutsyssä pakettien hallinnasta joka tekee sen asentamisen helpoksi, samoin löytyy paketti acerwificontroller josta saattaa olla apua langattomien korttien asennuksessa. Noilla paketeilla saa ainakin kortteihin virrat Acerin kannettavissa.

Kyllä tuosta apua oli, kun päivitin juurikin gutsyyn. Olin jo asentamassa acer_acpi:ta, kunnes seitsemännellä aistillani päätin kuitenkin katsoa vielä foorumia ja jäipähän yksi turha asennus välistä
