Kyseisellä pätkällä löytää Launchpadista heti seuraavat.

Ensimmäisestä löytyi, että seuraavan rivin lisääminen /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf tiedostoon auttaisi. Silloin kyseinen laite ei tosin toimi.Koodia: [Valitse]blacklist saa7134
Myöhemmin tuo rivi täytyy poistaa, jos haluat laitteen toimimaan
Muokkaus onnistuu esim.Koodia: [Valitse]sudo nano /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist
ctrl-x poistuu ja tarjoaa mahdollisuuden muutosten tallentamiseen.

Lisää tuon alimman rivin perään halutut optiot, eli näyttää muokkauksen jälkeen seuraavaltaKoodia: [Valitse]# defoptions=quiet splash noapic nolapic
Tallenna ja päivitä grub "sudo update-grub" jonka jälkeen koneen uudelleenkäynnistys.
Jonka jälkeen ne ovat automaattisesti käytössä jokaisella kernelillä.
Nuo on myös mahdollista antaa grubin valikossa (nyt en muista millä näppäimillä pääsi muokkaamaan niitä käynnistyksen yhteydessä (Esc+b+e jne...)

Itse käytän grubissaKoodia: [Valitse]noapic nolapic acpi=off
litaniaa. Tuolla saa käynnistyksen nopeutumaan. Vaikka se ei sinänsä mikään oikea ratkaisu olekaan. Haittana siitä seuraa, ettei ohjelmallista sammutusta voi tehdä, vaan on käytävä brutaalisti napilla.

This was resolved by typing live vga=771 noapic nolapic at the boot prompt instead of just pressing <enter> for the default behaviour.
Täällä foorumilla on myös ohjeita ns bootchart ohjelman käyttöön, kannattaa tutustua. Härpäke siis piirtää bootin graafisena esityksenä, josta voi tarkastella mikä otti eniten aikaa.
Oletko varma ettei siinä kirjautumis ruudussa sinulla ole valittuna "vikasieto" tms. kohdassa "istunnon tyyppi" tms.?
