Hei!

Viimeiset pari vuotta olen ylläpitänyt LibreOfficen ohjeiden suomennosta
Riston luovuttua tehtävästä. Koska muita vapaaehtoisia ei ole tällä välin
tullut mukaan, olen nyt päättänyt luopua tästä tehtävästä voidakseni keskittyä
paremmin muihin projekteihin.

Versiossa 5.0 ohjeet ovat vielä 100 % suomennettu. Version 5.1 osalta ehdin
suomentaa noin puolet muuttuneista tai lisätyistä merkkijonoista, ja
suomennoksen kattavuus on nyt noin 98,5 %. Englanninkielisten ohjeiden parissa
tehdään nyt poikkeuksellisen aktiivisesti töitä, joten on odotettavissa, että
tulevissa versioissa suomennettavaa on aikaisempaa enemmän. Arvioni on, että
työ vaatii vuosittain noin puolen henkilötyökuukauden panoksen.

Pootle on nykyään varsin hyvä työkalu, ja sen tarjoaman käännösmuistin sekä
osittain automatisoitujen massakorjausten ansiosta "turhaa" käännöstyötä on
nykyään melko vähän tehtävänä. Suomentajalta ei myöskään vaadita enää
versionhallinnan tai muiden "koodarin" työkalujen käyttöä. Suuri osa
suomennettavista teksteistä liittyy Calcin Excel-yhteensopivuuden
kehittymiseen, käyttöliittymän uudelleenorganisoinnin vaatimiin ohjemuutoksiin
sekä siihen, että englanninkielisten tekstien sisältöä on kehitetty
informatiivisemmaksi.

Tällä hetkellä Pootle on poissa käytöstä päivitysten takia, joten
kiinnostuneet voivat vielä miettiä hetken. Pootle on palaamassa käyttöön
näillä näkymin perjantaina. Suomentaa voi sekä versiota 5.1 että master-haaraa
(tuleva 5.2). Kiinnostuneiden kannattaa vastata tähän viestiin tai ottaa
yhteyttä minuun niin sovitaan, kumpaa kannattaa ryhtyä suomentamaan. Molempia
ei missään tapauksessa, mutta kummassakin vaihtoehdossa on omat huomioitavat
asiansa. Olen myös käytettävissä jatkossakin, jos suomentamisessa tarvitaan
apua.

En aio luopua käyttöliittymän suomentamisesta, eli LibreOfficen käyttöliittymä
on jatkossakin saatavilla 100 % suomennettuna, aivan kuten se on ollut alusta
lähtien. Suomennan myös postituslistalle ja lehdistölle menevät tiedotteet
vanhaan tapaan, eli en kaikkia mutta oleellisimmat kyllä.

Muut käyttöjärjestelmät ja Linux-jakelut / Raspbian, CUPS, HPLIP, Canon iR2420 ja HP Laserjet M125A?

Minulla on Tansaniassa Raspberry Pi -luokka (noin 12 työasemaa).

Hieman taustaa. Käytössä on sekä Raspbery Pi että Raspberry Pi 2-työasemia, kaikissa Raspbian Wheezy. Luokassa on hidas Internet-yhteys. Käytän sitä etäylläpitoon, mutta myös päivityksiin (vain opettajan kone hakee paketit, apt-cache ng jakaa paketit muille työasemille, päivitykset hoidan luokan lähiverkossa Ansiblella)

Olen asentanut ajurit kahteen läppäriin (Lubuntu 32bit ja Ubuntu Mate 64bit), joilla verkon yli saa tulostettua toimiston Canon iR 2420-tulostimeen. Luokassa on lisäksi HP Laserjet M125A USB-tulostin. Luokassa on myös Asus Vivo Mini (Windows), joka vastaanottaa oppilaiden tiedostojen varmuuskopiot (Samba).

Nyt luokasta voidaan tulostaa helposti Canon-tulostimella (iR2420) läppäreiden kautta, kun LibreOfficella tehty PDF-tiedosto siirretään läppärille, avataan ja tulostetaan.

1. En tunne CUPSia riittävästi. Ilmeisesti myös Raspeille pitäisi olla sama Canon iR2420-ajuri, vaikka ne näkevätkin jaetun Canon-tulostimen läppärillä. Ohessa ruutukaappaus, käytän links-selainta CUPSin asetuksiin.

2. Joudun lähettämään uuden SD-kortin, jossa Raspbian Jessie. Päivitys verkon yli ei ole mahdollista. Raspbian Wheezyssä HPLIP on
3.12.6, tarvitsemme uudemman 3.14.3. Raspbian Jessie on 3.14.6.

Tuollaisen voi rakentaa helposti itsekin, kuvat ovat muistitikulla, RasPin ei tarvitse olla verkossa. Kuvat tai ppt-tiedoston voi muokata missä ja millä vain, tikku kiinni RasPiin ja INFO-TV alkaa pyörimään, kuvien väli 10s.

On vielä matkaa siihen, että Raspberry Pi tai CuBox toimii XBMC-päätteenä. Siksi kokeilin XBMC:tä ION-koneella (VDPAU).

Minulla on sattuneesta syystä sellainen viritys, että VDR on Intel Atom-koneessa, jonka integroitu grafiikka ei riitä katseluun. Tämä kone on siis vain VDR-backend/tallennuslaite.

Katselu hoituu Intel Atom/ION-koneella. Ajastukse/tallennuksen ja katselun hoidan Selain/Live/VLC-yhdistelmällä.

No niin. Kummassakin koneessa on Ubuntu 12.04 ja yaVDR-ohjelmalähteet.

The device represents a multimedia powerhouse in a package smaller than your average wall wart, providing 1080p HDMI with CEC support, SPDIF optical audio output, gigabit ethernet, an IRDA sensor for remote controls, and USB and eSATA connectivity to access your media libraries. Specific packages are also available in the repositories to make use of the graphics potential for the system, namely xf86-video-dove, and packages prefixed with "marvell." We are continuing development to further improve the incredible capabilities this tiny device offers, so please let us know if you find any problems!"
