Laitealue / Creative web kamera ajuri asennus [ RATKAISTU ]

olen aloitteleva ubuntu 8.04 käyttäjä, ONGELMA sain asennettua skypen ja seuraavaksi web kameran asennus.
Löysin tarvittavan ajurin netistä, josta oli uudempi versio Synaptic-pakettienhallinnassa (ov51x-1.5.4-1 source). Asensin, kamera ei toimi edelleenkään.
Sitten löysin skype keskustelun mutta taidot loppuvat kesken ubuntun kanssa, mitä tarkalleen ottaen pitäisi tehdä....

- Copy it into the ov51x-1.5.3 Source directory (where ov51x-jpeg-core.c resided)
- patch -p1 < ov51x-jpeg-core.noblock.patch.txt
- make clean
- make
(as root)
- make install
- rmmod ov51x-jpeg
- modprobe ov51x-jpeg forceblock=1
(you can modify /etc/modprobe.conf as well: Add a line
options ov51x-jpeg forceblock=1
into the file
)
NOTE!! This is hack! A workaround for this probelm! This is not a fault in the driver. So please don't bother the ov51x-guys. And try to remove this hack as soon as the problem is fixed

Laitehallinta tunnistaa ainakin laitteen, olisiko joku ohjelma jolla testata webkameran toimivuus, ei messenger.

Teille varmaan itsestään selvyyksiä mutta ajatelkaa aloittelevaa kaveria.
lsusb antoi tämän:
desktop:~$ lsusb
Bus 001 Device 004: ID 041e:405f Creative Technology, Ltd
Bus 001 Device 003: ID 046d:c03d Logitech, Inc.
Bus 001 Device 002: ID 0451:2046 Texas Instruments, Inc. TUSB2046 Hub
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Pari juttua vielä miten onnistun asentamaan uudemmat ajurit ov51x-jpeg 1.5.8-1 koska pakettien hallinta yms. ei vielä oikein hanskassa, pitää varmaan purkaa oikeaan paikkaan mutta minne??
Laitteisto Hp 800mhz celeleron, muisti 256mb, näyttis intekroitu, webcam creative VF0330 Internet ChatPack
