Ubuntu tietokoneissa / RATKAISTU: VMvare Server asennus Ubuntu 8.04 ei onnistu

Olen yrittänyt useaan otteeseen saada asennettua alla olevan linkin mukaisesti VMware Serveriä, mutta kaatuu aina koodilaatikossa olevaan virheilmoitukseen. Onko kenelläkään tietoa mistä suunnasta ongelmaa voisi lähteä etsimään tai nettisivua, jossa olisi selkeät asennusohjeet.

Hieman tuntuu siltä, että tämä versio (VMware-server-1.0.4-56528), mitä olen koittanut asentaa, ei sovellukaan tähän Ubuntu 8.04 versioon,
mutta en ole löytänyt muitakaan yhtä selkeitä asennusohjeita.

Asentaminen ja käyttöönotto / Ubuntu 7.10 viilausta lopulliseen käyttökuntoon

Hei,

Olen käyttänyt Ubuntu 7.10 versiota nyt muutaman viikon ajan Windows XP:n kanssa rinnakkain, mutta pari asiaa hidastaa Ubuntun jatkuvampaa käyttöä. En ole siis mikään Linux pro käyttäjä vielä, mutta kiinnostusta ja tahtoa käytön oppimiseen löytyy. Kunhan muutamista ongelmista ensin selviäisi.

- Sisäänkirjautuessa resoluutio väärä (liian tarkka). Uusi sisäänkirjautuminen korjaa heti resoluution määriteltyyn 1280x1024
- Logitech MX510 optisen hiiren "peukalonappien" toimimattomuus nettisivuja selatessa
- http://www.aapeli.com sivulla ei pääse (Firefoxilla 2.0.0.13) pelaamaan biljardia, Operalla kyllä toimii
- Youtube videot nykii täydessä ruudussa sietämättömästi

Mitähän olisi tehtävissä, vai onko tämä ihan normaalia toimintaa Ubuntun kanssa?
