ja muillekkin asus 901 käyttäjille tiedoksi:

live CD/SSD on kätsy nettisurffaukessa,

mutta kysymys :

asennus tahtoo tehdä jotakin aina C: asemalle  ,
tuleeko murheita XP käytössä  ?
D: olisi ihan hyvä rokulissa oleva asema ...
kenties sama kuin SSD ... ?

DOS hallussa jotenkin ja win 3.11 >  aina huonommin...
  linux melkein helpompaaaa kuin MS ...
kuitenkin pönttö-örvelö ...

Hei !

Ubuntu 9.04 & asus 901 & HW 169 & live (CD) USB-muisti (myös ssd) , NETti toimii loistavasti !
 Todella nopea, kaiketi: puuttuu palomuuri ja virusustorjumta

Aion laitta Huawei 169:n micro-SSD:n ja buutata aina siitä Ubuntun netti-selailuun.
kerron kokemuksista.

kysynys:

voiko Ubuntun, oikeasti; ei live-CD,  asentaa SSD kortille, puutumatta C: asman XP asennukseen

ubuntu 8.10 +( intel 82815 ?)+ resoluutio = BUGi

hsoconnect-py2.5_1.1.83_all.deb  näistä kahdesta
hsolink_1.0.46-1_i386.deb             uudet versiot, muuten ei pelannut

Preparations:
On a newly installed Ubuntu 8.04(.1) or Ubuntu-eee 8.04.1:   tämän tein

tässä välissä piti poistaa network manager, muuten ei pelannut

sudo apt-get install libusb-dev                                              tätä ei
sudo apt-get install build-essential linux-headers-$(uname -r)   ei

In System -> Administration -> Users and Groups create a new group named dialout.  ei (en osannut näitä)
Make sure root and your user name are in the dialout group.

tässä välissä piti tökätä option 225 kiinni

Installation:
Extract
hso-1.6.tar.gz    kopioin muistitikulta home -hakemistoon
udev.tar.gz          hiiren oikealla extract ; teki uudt kansiot)

Recompile both:
sudo make               nämä oli ainoat jotka tein
sudo make install       komento rivillä

Install by double clicking:
hsoconnect-py2.5_1.1.83_all.deb   nämä asentuivat suoraan
hsolink_1.0.46-1_i386.deb              muistitikulta

Reboot.

Connect

Applications -> Internet -> HSOconnect

Enter your Settings.
List of settings for German 3G providers:
http://www.teltarif.de/i/gprs-config.html

Settings for mine (t-mobile Germany):
In Preferences enter
APN =internet.t-mobile     internet.saunalahti ;minulla
Username = anything
Password = anything
Save

Click "Connect".

tärkeimmät hommat oli kaiketi:
uusi asennus
uudet versiot hso..jne.. 8.10 kanssa
network manager poisto
option kiinni asentaessa

joskus yhteys jumittuu, mutta niin se tekee win -puolellakin
