Niin, serverikoneeni sammui yllättäen ja uudelleenkäynnistyksessä resoluutioksi oli jumahtanut 640x480. Haulla löysin vastaavan ongelman, mutta kyseisellä kaverilla oli ATIn kortti koneessaan, minulla taas GF2, joten ajattelin tehdä uuden aiheen tälle, jos jotain vaikka pitäisi tehdä eri tavalla.

Tässä xorg.conf:

Ajattelin kysyä neuvoa ennen kuin teen mitään (ongelma voisi korjaantua pelkällä X:n uudelleenasennuksella, mutta jos ei korjaanukaan, niin...), koska käytän silloin tällöin toistakin konetta ja sitä olisi mukava käyttää ihan graafisestikin :)

Auttaskohan sullekkin tämä:

sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg

Mulla tehos laakista, mutta paketit ja muut täytyy olla kohdillaan,
ja näitä laitekokoonpanoja on ziljoona.

Upeata mahtavaa, ajoin tuon wizardin onnistuneesti läpi ja käynnistin X:n uudestaan, nyt sain jopa 1280x960-reson käyttöön, tosin vain 60Hz-resolla :(

Mutta toimi kuitenkin, kiitoksia ^^

Jotain erroria se kyllä puski valmistumisen jälkeen (overwriting possibly-modified file, backup on löydettävissä blaa blaa), mutta se johtui luultavasti siitä, että olin asentanut EasyUbuntulla Nvidia-driverin erikseen :)

Ainakaan tuon xorg.conffin mukaan sinulla ei ole Nvidian omat suljetut ajurit asennettu.
