Eli sarjassamme minä tein sen taas. Pönttö kyselee ;D
Tossa säätäessä ja toimi verkko Win XP koneeseen, kone oli yön kiinni ja nyt ei löydy enää jaettuja kansioita. Winkoneesta on palomuuri alhaalla, ei apua. Ubuntukoneessa on sekä KDE että GNome työpöydät. Ja 6.06 versio.
Asennettu samba, samba-clinet yms. klikkeet. Oisko ideoita mikä mättää. Ja kuinka saan XP koneen kautta yhteyden Ubuntuun?
Toinen ongelma on Iomega Zip 650 CD polttava asema. Eli tommonen raahaa narusta koneesta koneeseen. USB liitännällä. Mites sen sais toimiin? Vai laitanko sovinnolla isän kannettavaan ?
Sarjassamme kolmas pikku juttu. GeForse2 piirillä oleva näytönohjain. Eiks siitä saa jollain lailla tietoo suoraan linuxin kautta, eli mikä piiri on sisällä. Jos vaikka oikeen 3D kuvaa yrittäs.

Komennolla lspci löytyy tietoa näytönohjaimestasi. Myös ohjelmalla sysinfo (löytyy pakettienhallinnasta) näkee graafisesti tietoa koneesta.
Ajurien asennus gf2:lle: Asennetaan ajurit: sudo apt-get install nvidia-kernel-common nvidia-glx-legacy nvidia-xsettings sittenm komenna sudo gedit /etc/X11/xorg.conf ja poista kohdasta Section "Modules" kohta Load "dri" ja muuta kohdasta Section "Driver" kohta Driver "nv" tälläiseksi: Driver "nvidia" ja buuti X painamalla ctrl+alt+askelpalautin (enterin yläpuolella oleva nappi)
Sitten kerro meille mitä sanoo komento glxinfo | grep direct

Jee .. olen mä hyvä kun pelkkää erroria :D Ja silti toimii.
Ainiin, käytössä molemmat työpöydät, keikun KDE:n ja GNomen välillä kuin trapetsititeilija. Eilen hain Synapticilla jotain nvidia-paketteja ja asensin ne.
Ja pikkasen kun yirtti tota lontoota tajuta, (ei mikään vahva kieli mulla vaikka luen sujuvasti mitään ymmärtämättä), niin jotain taas valaistu..
Semmonen juttu kans tuli mieleen et toimiiko toi ajuri molemmissa. Eli KDE ja GNome, ilman mitään välikikkailuja.
Ja sitten toi verkko-ongelma ratkesi. Laitoin tähän kiinteän IP-osoitteen ja puukotin sen toiseen koneeseen.
Si viel yks kyssäri. Miten nään mikä äänipiiri tässä koneessa on. Joku emolle liimattu.
Ja si taas päätteen tuomaa:

Eli jossei sitä dritä löydy, ei se haittaa kun se kuitenkin olisi poistettu. Tee muut muutokset ja tallenna. voilá.

Komenna
sudo dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg ja kerro miltä tuo xorg.conffisi näyttää, kerron sitten mitä pitää tehdä. :)

Tommosta vitsailee mokoma:

Sain jo sen verran tuhoo aikaseks että jouduin päätteessä hakeen vanhan xorg.confin takas. Vaihvoin tonne Drivers osioon ton nvidia tekstin ja sillon katos graafinen puoli et heilahti. *taputtaa itelleen*
Muuten toi on ihan vakio xorg.conf

Eli ei mitään hätää. Kerro miltä xorg.conffisi näyttää tuon sudo dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg komennon jälkeen.

Mulla on paketti nvidia-glx paketti asennettuna. Jos tota legacy:a koittaa asentaa, poistuu toi glx. kernel-common pakettia ei synaptis edes havainnut.
Ja ny on skandit hukassa.

Sinulla pitää olla asennettuna paketit nvidia-glx-legacy ja nvidia-kernel-common ei paketit nvidia-glx ja kernel-common. Kun olet asentanut oikeat paketit tee ohjeeni mukaan ja kerro virheistä mitä ilmenee. Eli siis kun asennat paketin nvidia-glx-legacy poistuu samalla nvidia-glx jos se on asennettu.

Muutin noi ja jämähti. Latas kyllä ne normaalit käynnistyksessä tulevat, ja nyt on kaunis Kubuntu teksti taulussa. :-\

Vilikku.
Jämähti bootissa, latas kyllä ohjaimet, eli niin pitkälle päästiin. Siis se lista mikä tulee kun koneen käynnistää. Sit näyttö päivittyy uudestaan (normaali juttu) ja pitäis tulla sisäänkirjaus. Mutta jääkin vaiheeseen jossa tulee vain Kubuntun logo.
Muutin noi rivit .. eli kommentoin ton Load "dri" ja vaihdoin "nv":n nvdiaan.
Ja taas on ne samat vanhat systeemit jouduttu hakeen takas.
Mutta ei tästä kannata paineita ottaa, kellossa on aikaa vaikka kuinka paljon ja se pyörii alkaen taas alusta. Edes yksi hyvä puoli kellos :D

Ja laitoithan virkistystaajuutesi resojesi perään? Siis tähän tapaan: Jos ei 3d toimi tämän jälkeen, kokeile lisätä niiden resojen perään mitä käytät virkistystaajuus, minulla on näin:
