Olen lueskellut näitä ja lontoon murteella olevia foorumeja ristin rastiin, mutta en ole löytänyt apua...

Mulla on siis ATI:n Radeon 9600 ( RV350AP ) kahdella näytöllä.
1 = Dell M991
2 = Nokia 447Xpro

fglrx on asennettu ja muutettu xorg.conf - tiedostoon.

 - en ole varma, mutta jos nyt mitään ymmärän niin xorg.conf - tiedostossa EI OLE lainkaan toista näyttöä mainittuna ?

Modules listaan olen lisännyt "fglrx" ja rebootannutkin jo muutaman kerran....

ATI control panel löytyy ja tulee päälle, mutta jos valitsen siitä jonkin asetuksen.. vaikkapa "Big Desktop Horizontal" , niin se ei kuitenkaan lataa sitä rebootin jälkeen.

Nyt tarvitaan apua...  mielellään yksinkertaista sellaista.. voin asentaa tai poistaa jos tarve vaatii , mutta mikä mättää ???????

No joo ... 38 kertaa tehdyn xorg.conf-tiedoston editoinin ja boottauksen jälkeen se rupesi toimimaan ....  ei hajua miksi ?
Hain päivityksiä - otin kaikki mitä löysin - ja pyörittelin xorg.conf-tiedostoa niin kauan että se tietokone aukesi oikein....  :D

Välillä hävisi näppämistökin puoliksi, Ylin kirjainrivi (qwertyuiopå ) ja osa alimasta ( zxcvbnm ) toimi, numpadin kanssa, LOggaa siinä sisään kun käyttäjänimissä on keskirivin kirjaimia.

Nyt pystyy pelaamaan ½-elämää 2:sta hyvin kummassakin näytössä, tosin tiettysti eri aikaa,,, kyse on siis kahdesta X-serveristä ( <- kaiketi ? )

ei anna vieläkään tietoja, pyöriii tosin ihan ok

fgl_glxgears ilmoittaa käyttävänsä "Using GLX_SGIX_pbuffer"
ja antaa  noin 500 fps

Molemmissa näytöissä "Direct rendering: Yes"

Modules-listassa on edelleen "fglrx" , ainoa silminpistävä ero ( kahden toimivan näytön lisäksi ) ATI control panel, jossa ei le enää valintaa "Big Desktop Horizontal", vaan se alasivu puuttuu. Lisäksi gamma-korjauksen voi nyt tehdä molemmille monitoreille erikseen. 
Samoin on monitori-asetusten kanssa, molemille näytöile omat "Screen Resolution" - valikot "System-> Administration ->

Nyt ei sitten taida uskaltaa päivittää koneta ettei heti "hajoa"  ::).. ohessa xorg.conf sitä kaipaavalle... jos siitä on apua niin hyvä..

Nostellaampa tätä.

Sain tolla xorg.conf:illa toimimaan 2 näyttöä oman Radeon 9600XT:n kanssa. Näytöt ovat vanhat 17" putket Panasonic PL70 (pro) ja E70.
Ongelmana on että ykkösnäytössä (PL70) resoluutio on 1600x1200 ja kakkosnäytössä (E70) 1280x1024 (jota parempaan se ei kykene)
Milläköhän saisi laskettua ykkösnäytön resoluutiota? Sitten vielä semmonen että kun hiiren kursorin vetää tonne kakkosnäyttöön niin kursorin tilalle tulee joku buginen kuva. Sillä on vähän vaikea osua.
Käytössä xubuntu 6.10.

Jälleen nostoa. Onko kukaan, ketjun aloittaja kenties, saanut ko. kortilla beryl+xgl -yhdistelmää käyttöön? Entäpä r300-ajureilla aigxl+compiz/beryl -yhdistelmää? Entäpä näitä, ja kahden näytön tukea? Toimiiko tuo s-videoliitäntä periaatteessa samalla tavalla kuin tuo kahden näytön tukikin?
