Kun koitan software sources listasta vaihtaa palvelinta niin tulee: Could not download all repository indexes.
Tätä on nyt ollut jo pari päivää ja olen kokeillut useampaa eri palvelinta.
Kun koitan netistä http://www.playdeb.net/software/Enemy%20Territory asentaa esim. enemy territorya tai mitä vaan peliä niin tulee sama ongelma, koitin asentaa ET:tä myös ubuntuwiki ohjeiden mukaan ensin mutta siinäkin tuli ongelmia.
Löysin ongelmasta juttuja vanhempien ubuntu versioiden osalta, mutta päätin nyt kysyä täältä kun jutut oli niin vanhoja. En ole vielä uskaltanut kokeilla auttaisiko http://ubuntuguide.org/wiki/Dapper#Repositories (http://ubuntuguide.org/wiki/Dapper#Repositories)

Some index files failed to download, they have been ignored, or old ones used instead.

Hommaa jostain uudempi ubuntu ja asenna se. Gutsyn tuki on päättynyt 18.4.2009.

Hmm.. Asensin kyllä uusimman ubuntun, ubuntu 9.10.

Taisit laittaa vahingossa vanhan Ubuntu Gutsyn "/etc/apt/sources.list" tiedoston
Koitappa korvata sen sisältö Ubuntu Karmikin (9.10) alkuperäisellä.
Näin saat sen avattua tekstieditoriin: Mene sovellukset --> Apuohjelmat --> Pääte ja sinne kopioit tämän loitsun -->
gksudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list
Alkuperäinen lähdelista on tämä:

Jes, hyvin neuvottu, kiitos. Nyt toimii. En saanu update komennolla sitä korjattua mut kopioin noi alkuperäiset tekstit vaan siihen tilalle niin sit pelitti :)

Jos tarkoitat tuota komentoa Dostin viestin lopussa niin se ei korjaa tuota listaa vaan päivittää pakettiluettelon eli käytännössä ottaa käyttöön muokatun/uuden sources.list:in. Saman voi tehdä myös Synapticillä ja monella muulla pakettienhallinta ohjelmalla. Graafiset pakettienhallinta työkalut (mm. päivitysten hallinta ja sovellusvalikoima) tekevät sen yleensä automaattisesti ennen kuin antavat asentaa mitään). :)
