Eli... Olen kafnetti nimisessä internet kahvilassa työharjoittelussa ja asensin muutamaan koneeseen Ubuntu 5.10. ASennus ja käynnistys sujui ihan hyvin ja normaalisti ja päivitykset pystyi hakemaan ihan oikein. Kuitekin yrittäessäni saa multiversestä MPlayeriä ja dlashiä alkoi tulla ongelmia.

Itselläni on kotona Ubuntu ja olen tarkistanut tarpeeksi monta kertaa, että olen lisännyt repot normaalisti. Multiversen ja universen kohdalla on ruksit. Koitanpa nyt etsiä apt-getillä vaikka mplayeriä:


kafnetti@ubuntu3:~$ sudo apt-get install mplayer

Omituista? Minusta mplayer pitäisi löytyä. No koitanpa mennä synaptic package manageriin ja hakusanaksi multiverse ja look in maintainer. Mitään ei löydy.

Eli tämä on kyllä kovasti sitä mieltä, ettei löydä multivesen paketteja, mutta olen raksittanut kaikki repot. Voisiko joku auttaa?

Outoa kyllä se siellä on http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/multiverse/m/mplayer/, ajoitko varmasti sudo apt-get update ennen kuin yritit asentaa tuota pakettia. Kokeile sudo apt-cache search mplayer voi olla että siellä on vain useampi mplayer alkuinen paketti eri laitealustoille valitse sitten omasi esim. mplayer-386

Lisää /etc/apt/sources.list -tiedostoon seuraava rivi:

Kokeile sudo apt-cache search mplayer voi olla että siellä on vain useampi mplayer alkuinen paketti eri laitealustoille valitse sitten omasi esim. mplayer-386

tuosta juuri on kyse. pakettia nimeltään mplayer ei ole olemassa, vaan kaikki vaihtoehdot ovat mplayer-<jotain>.

Tossa eilen eräs kyseli samaa ton mplayerin asennuksesta ja kokeilin itse että toimiiko
"sudo apt-get install mplayer-386", jolla itse sen asensin joskus....mutta....mutta...valitti että on jotain rikkoutuneita juttuja( en nyt muista tarkkaan mitä) ,mutta tuntuisi että siellä päässä on väliaikainen häiriö

mozilla-mplayer - MPlayer-Plugin for Mozilla


Eli ei varsinaista pääpakettia. Nuo kaksi näen myös synapticin kautta. apt-get update on tehty moneen kertaan ja nyt vielä buuttikin. :/
