ubu meni hienosti sisään, ja kaikki on toiminut kuin unelma.
Nyt pitäisi asentaa pcmcia porttiin usb2.0 kortti, ajuritkin olisi cd:llä linuxia varten, mutta miten ne saan asennettua?

Hassua, jollei ole mitään asennusohjetta... Nuo autorun.* ovat Windows-kamaa, mutta *.c ja *.h ovat C-kielistä lähdekoodia, joka lienee tarkoitus kääntää; olettaisi kuitenkin jostain löytyvän ohje siihen, miten se tehdään. Sitä paitsi: ei makefileä? Käsinkö homma oletetaan tehtävän?!

No oletko jo kokeillut laittaa usb-kortin paikoilleen ja kytkeä siihen jonkin usb-laitteen? Voihan olla, että mitään ajuria ei tarvitse erikseen asentaa ja kaikki vaan toimii.
Ja jos ei toimi, lähtisin tutkimaan asiaa päätteen kautta:

Joskus nuo laitteistovalmistajat ei linuxille hirveitä ohjeita anna vaan olettavat että linux käyttäjä on sen verran valveutunut, että osaa ajurit kääntää ilman ohjeitakin.
Voimme opastaa ajurin kääntämisessä, mutta ennen sitä kerrotko vielä minkä merkkinen ja mallinen kyseinen pcmcia kortti on.
Vaihtoehtona nimittäin on, että useampi kun etsii, niin löytyy helpompi tapa asentaa se.

Näin pikän ketjun jälkeen mihin tarvit sitä korttia kun sulla on jo 2 usb reikää takapanelissa.

Jaa...vai pientä? USB 2.0 on 480 Mbit/s ja USB 1.1 on 12 Mbit/s joten siinä on aika iso ero. ;)

itse en tästä kamalasti ymmärrä, mistä tiedän tunnistaako tämä kone edes että kortti on sisällä?

Tarkoitus oli että laitat koneen takana olevaan reikään usb muistitikun jotta näet ilmaantuuko kuvake automaattisesti työpöydälle. Sillloin usb kortin toimivuus olisi ainakin taattu. Sen jälkeen korttiin kiinni mitä tapahtuu . Ilmeisesti dmesg tulosteen mukaan laitoit jkuitenkin jonkun bluetooth tikun sisään joka tunnistui oikeasti. Sitä en tiedä pitäisikö sen antaa kuvake työpöydälle kun en omista moista.

Sinihampaan ei käsittääkseni tarvitse mitään kuvaketta työpöydälle laittaa, mutta kun laittaa siihen sen aseman, johon haluaa ne varmuuskopiot tehdä, niin se aseman kuvake tudennäköisesti tulee työpöydälle.
Jos ei sitä tule työpöydälle, niin se asema saattaa silti näkyä:
päätteen avulla
sudo fdisk -lMuiden asemien joukossa.
Jos ei näy, niin kortti kannattaa palauttaa, jos olette sopineet palautusoikeudesta, tai se on muuten palutettavissa (Esim. postimyynnin kautta ostettu tai liikkeestä, jossa on palautusoikeus).

Ok. Tuota noin en nyt näe tuolta dmessagesta mainintaa ehci_hcd:stä onko se ladattanua: lsmod | grep ehci,
jos ei tulosta mitään kokeiles ladata ehci: sudo modprobe ehci_hcd
ja kattos tuleeko dmessageen virheitä: dmesg | tail
